August 31st, 2019 Arts Avenue NYC Hosted it's End of August #EOA showcase featuring the local gems of New York city. Artists, performers, and creative lovers alike were in attendance for our signature Speakeasy-style showcase. For our exhibition there were 9 featured artists and a total of 25 pieces in total that spanned wall to wall celebrating unique and engaging styles of not only New York City but New Jersey as well.
at 8:15 co-founders, Emmanuel Knight and Gerard Thelemaque arrived to Arts Avenue's Lobby space to greet their crowd of guests to introduce new audiences as well as welcome back returning patreons back to the Avenue. from there, each co-founder led a group through on a brief adventure in two separate elevators to the Loft studio space where the exhibition went underway.
Immediately the space filled with creative energy as guests mingled and our artists did their creative thing, connecting with each other and the people. the first hour of of the EOA showcase kicked off with a intimate cocktail hour among the guests, and creative artists alike. The room immediately filled with fun banter, intriguing questions and creative conversation. from there, co-founder Emmanuel Knight led Arts Avenue's popular Artist's circle.
The artists soon lined up and spoke about their experiences, creative outlets and what inspires them to create the art they make. After the artist circle, the floor opened to questions where attendees began to ask questions learning more about the creatives that night. Thrilled, each artist took the time to carefully think about and answer each question which left guests not only entertained but thoroughly more interested and invested in said artists.
After a brief intermission, the attendees and artists headed downstairs to the cellar floor to the second half of the showcase the Under the Avenue Lounge, There all guests and artists were seated and the live musical performances began. 3 local performers entertained and captivated our guests with diverse genres from multidisciplinary musical arrangements to folk and synth-wave. After the musical arrangements both co-founders took to the stage to thank all participating visual and performing artists as well as the crowd for coming together to create a special night as we bid farewell to the summer season and look towards the fall season and new beginnings.
